Paramount Presents: The Princess Bride

Combination romantic comedy/adventure filmThe Princess Bride is based on the 1973 novel of the same name by William Goldman. The film was directed by Rob Reiner from a screenplay by Goldman. The story is presented in the film as a book being read by a grandfather (Peter Falk) to his sick grandson (Fred Savage), thus effectively preserving the novel’s narrative style. It's a true cult classic! Having seen it when it was released and several times since on TV, I can't wait to see it again on a big screen.

Wow, six people within an hour of suggesting this meetup. Great! I'm Sandra and I'll be there around 1:30 or so if people want to sit together or hang out after the movie and chat over a snack.

P.S. Tickets are $6 adult/$4 youth

I seemed to have sat on the opposite side from where everyone else did (powered my phone off before coming into the theater), but I loved the movie and will look for you all at the next meetup. :)

Was great fun. Got to see a really great movie that made you laugh out loud as well as cheer when the "bad guy" got it. I also got to meet some really nice people and socialize after the movie. With everything said, just a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The coolest thing was reliving the same applause when Inigo finally kills Count Rugen just as they did when the movie first came out. This film's always great fun, but sharing it with those who've never seen it added a twist, especially the kid remarks. Thanks again to Joel and Ellen for hanging out after the movie!

I just bought my ticket. The cashier said they "won't sell out, but we've sold a lot of tickets" so expect a good turnout.
