The basic premise of this meetup is the same as a book club, only with a movie instead. We select a movie on DVD in advance, and we each watch the movie separately at our convenience. Then we get together to discuss it for an hour or so on the third Monday of each month.
C'ville Coffee is a nice space; there are food and drinks available, and the parking is good.
This month we'll discuss Jean de Florette and Manon of the Spring, two French-language movies that together tell one story. It is a tragic story about small farmers in Provence in the 1920s and their struggles to possess and farm a certain property. You should see the films in order and see both films to get the full effect of the story.
George will open the discussion, and then we will all get to express our opinions, reactions, and ideas about the film.

*Where Can I Find This Movie?:*
I don't what the streaming options are, but there are a few DVD copies at Sneak Reviews, including one with one movie on Side A and the other on Side B. It's possible that the public library and the UVa library (if you are affiliated twith UVa) have copies. Let George know if none of these do not work for you.
