The basic premise of this meetup is the same as a book club, only with a movie instead. We select a movie on DVD in advance, and we each watch the movie separately at our convenience. Then we get together to discuss it for an hour or so on the third Monday of each month.
C'ville Coffee is a nice space; there are food and drinks available, including hot dinner-style food, and the parking is good.
This month we'll discuss My Best Fiend (1999), a documentary about the tumultuous working relationship between the director Werner Herzog and the actor Klaus Kinski. It is in German with English subtitles. Anna will open the discussion, and then we will all get to express our opinions, reactions, and ideas about the film.
"My Best Fiend is about two men who both wanted to be dominant, who both had all the answers, who were inseparably bound together in love and hate, and who created extraordinary work -- while all the time each resented the other's contribution." (Roger Ebert's review, as quoted on rottentomatoes.com)

*Where Can I Find This Movie?:*
Try local video stores, e.g. Sneak Reviews; online sites such as Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, and Blockbuster.com; the public library and the UVa library (if you are affiliated with the UVa). Let George know if none of these will work for you.
