OFFScreen Film Society: Happiness, Sept. 7

Just saw where U.Va.'s student film series, OFFScreen (, is screening "Happiness" on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7:00 p.m. in Wilson 301 ( ). If anyone goes, could you pick up some OFFScreen spring schedules for the group?



Here's an event description from their Facebook page ( Even though it says open and free to all UVa students, anyone can go.

Join OFFScreen in the kick-off film screening event of the semester this Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 pm in Wilson 301. 

It is open and free to all UVa students. Snacks and friends are encouraged. We will have open discussion of the film, the role of OFFScreen, and the semester screening schedule. 

Bring an appetite for independent, foreign, and classic film! 

"Happiness" is a 1998 film by the director of "Welcome to the Dollhouse", Todd Solondz. It is described like so:

"The lives of many individuals connected by the desire for happiness, often from sources usually considered dark or evil. "
