Any route or challenge ride you would like us to consider?
Our group caters for intermediate cyclists with road/hybrid bikes. For more info and to be sure that you will enjoy our rides please read more in the "ABOUT US" section. It will link you to our Pace Guide and Attendance Policy.
We are cycling enthusiasts that love to get on our bikes for long rides. We are not professionals and we are not a Cycling Club as such, full of rules and regulations, our own branded jerseys and different categories. Hence, some people wear lycra, others baggy shorts and top. That said, our rides are long and strenuos so a pair of jeans would not get you far.
Most of our rides start from London or a nearby railway station. We cycle anything from 70-100 miles during Summer and 50 miles in winter when we have less daylight. I map all the rides from scratch based on my interest, a suggestion by one of you, inspiration from an article or motivated by a challenge. Basically, I want to discover more and more of the amazing English countryside, to explore Europe and to experience cycling in different parts of the world.
There are many Meet Up groups focused on cycling catering for all abilities and interests. Please make sure that this is the right group for you. We always cycle long distances at a fastish pace and with few stops. If you are a beginner or hardly ever cycle you won't be suitable for our events. Please check out our PACE and HEALTH & SAFETY policy HERE. We also appreciate commitment so please read ourATTENDANCEpolicy HERE. You will be expected to pay for train fares in advance as well as a £1.5 contribution fee towards Meet Up charges. Please read about FEES and CANCELLATION/REFUND policyHERE. Our rides are only suitable for road or hybrid bikes. Unfortunately we don't cater for mountain biking yet.
In addition to Saturday or Sunday rides, we sometimes organise weekend events and once a year we organise a cycling holiday.
Have a look at the pictures of our rides. We enjoy the cycling but we also relish the pub lunches at the end. Despite our lycra gear (due to comfort rather than fashion!!!) we are friendly and welcoming.
