Sunday: Alcatel-Lucent Bikeday to New Edinburgh (Beechwood)

Please join us for a Sunday bike ride at 11am.  We will meet at the north-west corner of Booth and the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, next to the flags, ride on the parkway until Lincoln Fields, and then south towards Algonquin College, and then east towards New Edinburgh (Beechwood).

When we reach our destination, we can take a vote and decide if we want to stay there and grab something to eat/drink.  Otherwise, we'll head back immediately.

Options for food/drink in New Edinburgh:

  * The Scone Witch
  * Jacobsons
  * Clocktower Brew Pub
  * Da Bombe
  * New Edinburgh Pub
  * Fraser Cafe
  * Bridgehead
  * Second Cup

We will stay on paved bike paths and bike lanes for most of the time.

The route is here:

All skill levels and all types of bikes are welcome!

I will be heading out from Tunney's Pasture at exactly 10:30am.  If you park your car in the Tunney's Pasture/Stats Canada parking lot, you are welcome to bike with me to the War Museum.

You will see a big "R. H. Coats Building" sign at the north-west corner of Scott & Parkdale; I'll be close to the sign, near the benches under the trees. There's a Quickie Mart just across the street in case you need water/juice, food, cash (CIBC ATM), washrooms , etc.

    I might join up with you guys at booth, not sure if I should bring the road bike or hybrid bike, never been on one of these rides yet, is it more leisurely or faster paced?

      Either bike would be fine. We will bike on paved, flat terrain at a leisurely pace.

    Clocktower has a nice terrace and brunch menu. Scone Witch is also a favourite.
