I am excited to announce that Oak City Cycling Project is sponsoring Cycling For Health for the entire month of May!  Each ride we schedule will contain this announcement and a link to their website.  Please support this great local business!

We will meet at the Old Reedy Creek entrance to Lake Crabtree and head out on the Black Creek GW. This will take us to Bond Park where we will pick up the White Oak Greenway and continue to MacArthur Blvd where we will turn around for the trip back.
This ride will be approximately 12 miles with stops along the way to re-group. No-one will be left behind! This ride is designed for those who haven't been on your bike in a while or just want an easy, after work  ride.

Oak City Cycling Project is A local, independent cycling shop in Downtown Raleigh, NC focused on increasing bicycle ridership through sales, service, outreach, and community.

Below is the entrance to Lake Crabtree.  Parking is along side Old Reedy Creek Rd

Beautiful ride on this particular greenway. Just absolutely wonderful! The ride was a little difficult for me being this was my first time out this year. The hills were tough but the group was supportive. A special thanks to Landon for sticking with me and helping me get threw it. Very nice bunch of people. Thanks again everyone!

My tire valve on the back tire just broke and now I have a flat tire. Need to head tothe bike shope instead for a repair. Will miss this ride unfortunately. Have fun out there and be safe! Unless I can start from the other end and meet up in the middle. If not, see ya next time!

Is this ride on pavements or trails? I need to know which bike is better to ride, road or mountain? Thanks

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
