Covered Bridge Metric Century - Sunday August 17, 2014 We are very pleased to announce that the 2014 CBMC will again start at the Lancaster Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College. Easier access to parking and a beautiful campus will await you on August 17th. In order to keep our event fun and safe for all, registration will be limited in number and will end in early July or when we reach our pre-determined number of participants, whichever comes first. There will be NO day of registration. For Hotel and Campground information go or use or a similar service.

Something new this year… During the Covered Bridge Metric Century, club member Steve Holland will have a team of photographers strategically stationed along the ride routes to capture photos of our riders and the beautiful Lancaster county scenery and covered bridges. These photos will be available for sale after the ride at his website, Available items will include digital downloads and prints in popular sizes, all at very reasonable prices. And best of all, proceeds benefit the Conner M Holland Foundation (, which provides financial support to families of children with pediatric cancer, and runs the Conner’s Comfies ™ program that distributes new pajamas to sick children at the Hershey Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Visit his tent to learn more about the Foundation!

The proceeds from this ride fund the Lancaster Bicycle Club's grants program. Since 2000, the Lancaster Bicycle Club has provided in excess of $245,000 in grant money in support of Lancaster County bicycle related requests.

Hey friends, this ride is just days away. Please contact me if anyone is interested in carpooling or budget sharing lodging. Some friends are seeing "half stiched" 1pm show at Bird in Hand theater on Saturday.

I did this ride two years in a row and it is a fantastic ride.
The ride is in the middle of Pa Dutch country with Amish Buggys, covered bridges and river side riding through a lot of the ride, and beautiful scenery. The Lunch and post ride dinner are also really nice. If you have the time you should try this ride you will enjoy it.
