High Bridge Evening Ride

We'll meet in Farmville in the parking lot in front of Charlie's Waterside Restaurant, ride down to the high bridge to take in the view and return after about 10 miles to have dinner at the restaurant (great food!)  After dinner, it's fun to ride the opposite direction in the dark, sometimes by moonlight- but bring a headlamp or headlight in case it's needed....

Miles= However many you want.  It's a trail so you can't get lost and you can always head to the restaurant early or skip the after dinner portion!

Bike+  You will need a mountain or hybrid.  Road bikes are not appropriate for this ride.

Speed= Slow, probably about 8-10mph, but again, you can take it at your leisure as you want!

Ditto! It's a fun easy trail. I had just returned from vacation and it was not in the cards for me to do the ride yesterday.

Perfect ride my first time out with the group. It was great to meet everyone. Both the ride and the comraderie were top notch. Thank you for organizing, CJ. Look forward to doing more rides.

Sorry, Donna...My rack only holds 2 bikes, and there's 2 of us or I'd offer to give you a ride. We'll meet you at the parking lot...At least it's a nice ride out that way!

Donna. I signed up a few days ago. Did you still want to car pool?

If anyone wants to car pool, I have room for 3 plus bikes. I will be coming from North Henrico and we can figure out a place to meet. This is a really nice trail.

Alrite, I'll be there at 3:15. Do you know if the bridge is 10 or 5 miles one way from the restaurant? my cell #[masked]

According to the map off the state parks website. Town of Farmville to High Bridge is 4.4 miles. It is an easy ride on crushed, packed, limestone.

Hey everyone! I am very much looking forward to tomorrow's ride, however, we can't ride after dark so we'll just ride and have dinner when it gets dark

Would this group allow children to join? I would love to go and take my children! They have done about 13 very slow miles before with me!

Stefani - I am seeing if I can rally my boys to join me. How old are your children? Mine are 14 and 15 and would really enjoy this...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
