The date has been finalized! Just two weeks prior to Easter is this year’s egg decorating; if we're not mistaken, this is the 8th (!!) edition of this delightful event. New this year: students of our cooking class (separate event, please RSVP separatelly) will treat us to Easter delicacies: mazanec and sekana.
As you might know from the previous years, we have a great group of volunteer instructors, each of them with a distinct egg decorating technique according to their region of origin. You will decorate your own Easter egg under their guidance. Various degrees of difficulty. Some activities may require parental supervision (hot wax).
Bring you own hard boiled eggs or blown-out egg shells, we'll provide the colorings and other art supplies. We'll offer additional arts and crafts activities for young children with Easter theme - the way children do in Czech or Slovak schools.
Please bring a home-made cake or other refreshments to share with others. We'll provide soft drinks, coffee, and tea. Time: 2pm - 5pm.
The Czech and Slovak Heritage Association asks for a donation of $5 per adult to cover rent and material cost. Existing CSHA members, bring a new member and get $5 discount on admission. All new members, sign up and pay annual dues on same day and get $5 discount.
