Hello everybody! Don't miss this year's picnic. Before the busy summer sets in, use this great opportunity and come to catch up with old friends and make new ones. This is everbody's favorite outdoor event of the year. After an afternoon spent in always-sunny Fort Washington State Park, grilling, chilling and chatting, those with adventurous blood can stay for an overnight camping with campfire, songs and sausages as we've done in two previous years.
++ Fun event for all age groups and families with children or not
++ Games and sports on fresh air
++ Home-made food, pot-luck style
++ Meet old friends and make new ones!
Picninc is on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 1-6 p.m. Overnight stay in tents until Sunday 6/16/2012, 3pm.
Bring along your friends! Also bring your favorite picnic dish to share with others. This is pot luck style. The Philadelphia branch of the Czech and Slovak Heritage Association will provide beverages and some meat for the grill.
If you play a guitar or other musical instrument, bring that too. Bring your a tent and join us for a sleepover in the wilderness in the middle of Philadelphia suburbs. With our own set of keys to the park(!)
This event is rain or shine.
Pets are welcome as long as they stay on the leash and under control at all times. Keep in mind that alcohol is not allowed in the park.
Our picnic area is located in the group tenting section of the park (site B, same as last year). It is accessible from the Observation Deck next to parking lot #5. If arriving in a car, you can access the state park either from Skippack Pike (Rt. 73) or from Militia Hill Road. You can take your car all the way to the camp site and stop at the roadside for unloading. Then move your vehicle to the end of the road for parking.
Please let us know if you intend to stay ovenight by answering the questions that follow your registration.
