This Meetup is the sequel to DCMeetup1403 - Scanning & Enumeration. There, we used reconnaissance tools to discover hosts, identify open ports, service versions, and vulnerabilities. Towards the end I demonstrated some exploitation techniques using Metasploit and information from the Metasploit Database we obtained from our scans.
On the 26th of August we will take it a step further and concentrate just on the exploitation phase of the Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTES) or attack methodology. Our primary teaching tool will be Metasploit on Kali Linux. Although not a requirement, please have it installed on your machines prior to arriving. We will have copies on hand via cd for installation just in case.
This three hour session includes:
* A metasploit database overview
* Enumeration with nmap & metasploit auxiliary scanners
* Exploitation of multiple operating systems and services identified during enumeration
* Gathering of usernames & hashes via hash dumps
* Exploitation using the obtained hashes (Pass the Hash)
* Attempts to crack hashes via John the Ripper
Location: We are using a new location so plan accordingly. It is one block away from the Rosslyn Metro station. Food and drinks will be provided.
Parking: Street parking is available on Fairfax st. across from 1616 Ft. Meyer Blvd., Arlington, VA.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
