LET's TALK - Type for Techies

LET's TALK II - Type for Techies moderated by David Sullivan

One of our most enjoyable meetings during this last year was "Let's Talk": An informal roundtable discussion which focused on key topics at the Miami Association for Psychological Type Conference. Participants enjoyed great conversations, learned a lot, and enjoyed a tasty lunch in a private room at La Madeline's in Addison.

This year's topic will feature a discussion of how technical professionals (Information Technologists, Engineers, etc.) might benefit from a basic education on Personality Type as it relates to interpersonal communications and emotional intelligence. DFW APT President David Sullivan will moderate.

At least three DFW APT members have managed IT departments and many other members have coached or interacted with IT/Engineering professionals during their business careers. All attendees can share their pertinent experiences and describe any special Type programs which have proved beneficial for tech pros in their experience. It should be a fascinating and fun discussion.  We'll set aside time toward the end of the session for folks to talk about any Type topic of their choice and to hear related insights from their fellow attendees.

If you have specific questions or suggestions, please let us know. We'll look forward to seeing you there on May 17!

I'm with BAAPT in San Francisco.

This is a great idea! I'd love to have something like this in the SF Bay area. I'm particularly interested in this topic as I'm both a techie/programmer and Type lover myself. I'd come to your meeting, but Dallas is a bit far to go for lunch. Please share any notes or materials afterward if you can?
