Introduction

Greetings, saw your group pop up as a recommendation. http://www.meetup... are starting to talk about a build group for quadcopters, so neat to know other folks are already flying them locally.

What's your experience working with drones? Beginners are welcome!

None, will probably try to build a Towel initially. Beginner otherwise.

What kind of equipment do you own/operate (ArduCopter 3DR Hexacopter, Swinglet, Parot AR, etc...) You don't need to have your own equipment to join the group.

  • Hi Brian, thanks for the info about the Nova Makers group. Let me see, I have an Arduino, 2 RasPis, Beaglebone, Beagleboard, 2 Sheva wall warts, 2 Launchpads, a couple of different STM developer boards and 2 FPGAs. I don't think I can even count the number of small robots I have. :)

  • Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for reaching out! I'm looking forward to checking out the lab more often.

  • Very belated thanks for the greeting! I've taken a long Meetup hiatus during some busy times at work lately, but I'm hoping to get out to see the space soon. The laser cutter is absolutely something I would be interested in learning to use!

  • Sorry for the blank profile. I had no idea people read them! I'm really interested in using the tools NOVA Makers has, and having a space to work out of.

  • Hello Brian. I am mostly into technology and right now am getting back into "robot" building using the Internet Of Things.

  • Brian - I have not yet worked with the RasPi but will check out some of the classes for it. Tuesdays I already have a standing gig, but will pop in once in a while for Arduino stuff.

  • Absolutely, count me in for the RasPi group. Looking forward to it.
