Introduction
Live in the York, PA area, but close enough to DC to show up for weekend events. Long time RC flyer, general interest in aviation, UAVs in particular.
What's your experience working with drones? Beginners are welcome!
Have been following DIY Drones for over four years, back when the autopilot was still based on Lego. Took the plunge with APM2 in the last six months or so. Have about a dozen flights under my belt.
What kind of equipment do you own/operate (ArduCopter 3DR Hexacopter, Swinglet, Parot AR, etc...) You don't need to have your own equipment to join the group.
With regard to autopilot, fixed wing only. Currently flying a SkyFly Max. Working on a dedicated airframe now based on Pioneer UAV.
What events would you like to see this group have?
UAV fun fly; If at all possible, organize something along the lines of the Outback Challenge, but on a smaller scale.
