Building a custom-made quadcopter
What kind of equipment do you own/operate (ArduCopter 3DR Hexacopter, Swinglet, Parot AR, etc...) You don't need to have your own equipment to join the group.
Custom quadcopter, Arduino based (ArduinoMega for now, might downsize to Uno or mini), modified AeroQuad based firmware w/ 6-DOF wii sensors) 1400kV turnigy motors HKSS 40-50A ESC's 8040 Props X525 V3 frame 3S 2200mAh battery pack

Rick, the best advice I could give you is to come get to know us. Our next Open House is Dec 13 where you can see our space, meet our people, and learn about our projects. You'll see our laser cutter, 3D printer, CNC mill and much more. You'll also get an overview of how we operate and you'll be attending our one year anniversary since opening. In the near future we're doubling our size by expanding next door. Come get to know us & you might find a maker community where you can learn new skills.
