Video transmission from drone mounted Hero3+?

I recall some discussion about television band video transmitters that can be mounted on the drone then received on an LCD monitor on the ground to help pilot the drone or point a camera. And the ALL CAPS warning was DO NOT USE THE WI-FI ON THE HERO3 due to interference with controler frequencies.

Anyone know if this is a solid product? (It comes with a Hero3+ cable, power, transmitter, and receiver but not monitor.)

Should this work for transmitting stills in real time if the camera is setup to take a photo every two seconds?

That's fine.

The FPV Tx/Rx in that kit goes for about $100 from China (maybe a little less if you search around) and the monitor is maybe $70 to $100. But the whole kit together with cables and antennas included would save you a lot of time and shipping cost trying to source the pieces from all over the place, so overall I'd say it's an reasonable deal.

You'll get some decent range with this setup. Line of sight you should be able to go 500ft easily.
