Global Game Jam 2014 - DMV Sharefest

Wondering what everyone else made at the Global Game Jam? Well, wonder no more. The International Game Developer's Association - DC Chapter is having a meeting for everyone to share what they made at the Global Game Jam 2014.

See projects from American University, George Mason , UMBC and other local sites. The meetup will be a very casual, play as you may event. Developers and designers will have their games setup for anyone and everyone to play. It's a good chance to meet some local devs, artists and designers. The event will be open to the public. We will have a big screen presentation setup for quick overviews and individual tables with the games and their developers. This is part of the IGDA's general February meeting and will be held on American University's campus.

If you made a game for #GGJ2014, come ready to show it off.

Any chance you'll run late? I probably can't get there until around 8:15.

Hey, I'm glad you were able to make it regardless! Game developers seem to care more about the after-event drinking than main events anyway.

I'm glad I made it and got what I think are promising jump-start items to start learning with. It was nice meeting all whom I had the opportunity to talk with and all appeared to be open and easily approachable :)

Hello! I write pencil & paper games for tabletop play. I assume that analog, atom-based gaming is not the focus of this group. On the other hand, I'd love to talk to people about developing a video game idea. Should I attend?

    Thanks!

Actually we are technology agnostic, digital, board, we are all indie developers. There were a few print to play games at the GGJ so you should be in good company. Come join us.

The meeting will be in the Batelle Tompkins building, between Kogod and Mary Graydon. There will be a bunch of different folks from the 3 jams last month- see you there!

Parking on campus is free after 5. Park underneath Katzen, school of international service, or Nebraska lot (on New Mexico).
