DC macrobiotic chef and cooking instructor leads this group, which meets once a month in the Georgetown/Glover Park/Burleith area of Washington DC. We meet from 6:30 to 8 pm for a macrobiotic meal and participatory discussion about macrobiotics.
Macrobiotics is not a vegan or vegetarian diet per se, but it can be adopted as such by individuals. Chef Juliette, who has 30 years of experience cooking mostly vegan macrobiotic fares will serve a vegan meal made with fresh organic produce and products. A discussion follows the dinner.
This group is created to serve anyone interesested in macrobiotics, oriental medicine, as well as anyone who wants to explore shifting to a healthier lifestyle. After socializing, Juliette or a guest lecturer will lead a participatory discussion about macrobiotics and related topics, including, but not limited to, food as energy concept, yin and yang; 5-element theory and any other issues relating to macrobiotics and/or shifting to a healthier diet.
We do not promote any businesses, and this is not a Networking group. If your goal is to meet other health professionals or promote your business, please join a Meetup group that promotes Networking among health professionals or people seeking health professionals.
Cost is $25 and includes a delicious macrobiotic meal. Group meets on the last Monday of the month. Prepaid registration required. Contact Juliette healthylivinginc@earthlink.net for further information or visit us at www.healthylivinginc.org.
