The Flying Spaghetti Monster Lands for a Pint

We have a large number of younger members who understand the noodly goodness of wisdom from the majestic FSM.  In a moment of divine revelation he has informed me that there is a place where ten different craft beers and imports are available on draft for only $4 each.  They will also have sliders for only $1 and a menu with many items for less than $10.  The location is a very short distance south of Dupont Circle on Connecticut Ave, extremely convenient for those of us using Metro.

I understand that many of my friends might be upset at my embracing the a religion that is threatening the survival of the secular movement itself.  However, if the FSM can deliver outrageous fun and delight after a long week at work we will have to acknowledge the power that come from what promises to be the real true religion.  We are after all people who will acknowledge the empirical evidence when we see it.  Can the Flying Spaghetti Monster deliver on his promise?   You will have to come to this event and find out.

I would like to join the group. To accommodate those in wheelchairs, please deign to gather on the less popular, but accessible level.

I do not mean to dictate this group's needs, but perhaps you can ensure that future events will always be able to accommodate members who use wheelchairs or who otherwise have mobility impairments so that you no longer discriminate against a significant portion of your membership. First you announce a very interesting debate that may or may not be accessible, then you schedule a social event that, because of its popularity, is definitely NOT accessible. If you feel the need, I am able to work with the organisers to help ensure that future events and functions are held at accessible venues so you stop turning away your members.

There was no real choice in the venue for the debate. We are debating a Deacon on the Universalist Church and their church is what is available. I want to thank you for raising the issue. It will certainly be more on my radar in seleting additional venues.

Please help our brothers in Poland!

Writes "Rzeczpospolita", in mid-October, the Ministry of Administration and Digitization registered new religious association "Followers of the Sun". Founded by a group of environmentalists from Szklarska Poreba. - Rites of us have a loose form. We can say that the most important thing is the music and the event - says the founder of a new religion. Official from Ministry of Administration in an interview with the daily notes that the registration has been made on the basis of documents submitted by the applicants. However, in March of this year, officials rejected the application for registration of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Then formally everything was fine, and the refusal was a religious studies expert. They found that the doctrine of Pastafarians it is "a parody of existing doctrines." ... more info will be presented and deliberation how to help necessary.

Glad we're not meeting at an Italian restaurant. Then we'd be eating the body of our god (and drinking wine) during our gathering. That would be too weird.

that would be nuts if there were a religion who ate the body and blood of their God for ceremonial reasons. :P

Quite true Ben! We should only eat the pasta of our God for joy and pleasure in the here and now. Nuts with any ceremonial stuff representing something outside of the here and now.
