The Washington DC Area Coalition of Reason significantly raised the visibility of the Godless community in our area with their soon to end media effort. There will be a group photo Saturday, November 13, 4 PM at 12th and Independence Ave SW. All members of participating groups, friends and supporters of the effort are welcomed to join in the group photo.

The next effort, by the American Humanist Association, will be a much larger and more hard hitting media effort. It will start Friday and it will be directly critical of religious literature. It will start with the first ever humanist TV ad on network television. The $200,000 cost is larger than any prior secular media effort. The press release can be found here

"We want to reach people in every corner of the U.S., from all walks of life, to raise the flag for humanists and show others that they have more in common with us than with biblical literalists," said Roy Speckhardt. AHA will certainly achieve this aim.
