Re: [atheists-27] My Radical Centrism

According the survey my  Political Values

Radicalism 77.5
Socialism 37.5
Tenderness 40.625

These scores indicate that you are a moderate progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a liberated atheist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a political centrist.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, an idealist with several strong opinions.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

Unlike many other political tests found on the Internet which base themselves on untested (and usually ideologically motivated) ideas, this inventory is adapted from Hans Eysenck's own political inventory which was developed after extensive empirical investigations in the 20th Century.

My Friend Jennifer Kalmanson suggested a social values test based on Hans Eysenck's political inventory:
My results paint me as a political centrist to an extent that I doubt that anyone can equal. I had viewed myself as a political moderate. Given that I am in many ways way to the left of Obama I am happy to have my basic objectivity confirmed by this test. I have a passionate distaste for the counter-factual delusions propagated by right wing and religious political factions. I dislike false claims from the left but my view is that in general the social harm from the left is far less.

I will not assume anything to be true just because my friends deem it to be true. Heck, if the evidence indicates that by views of 10 minutes ago are false they will be gone. I am not willing to even buy into the tribal views of my past selves. The evidence rules but that ruling is still subject to being skeptical about the accuracy of any new evidence. I have copied my results from the web site below.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a political centrist.
