RSVP and "No Show" Policy

We want to ensure that all attendees will have an enjoyable experience by having the anticipated number of folks showing up to be consistent so we do impose a "No Show" policy on our attendees.

People with a lot of "No Shows" will be warned and could be barred from signing up for a particular host's event. People with a lot of "No Shows" i.e. more than 3 No Shows in a 4 months period will be allowed in a event at the discretion of the particular host. Canceling the day of or the day before is considered as "No Shows" and may prevent you from being accepted into capped seat events in the future until you build up your credential by attending 3-4 events after that.

Capped Attendee list
Some of our events will have a limited attendee list, due to small venue or host's desire to get to know members. Please RSVP only if you are sure you could go and avoid holding up the slot until the last minute.

Ticket Purchase via link listed on the event page
For events that require a ticket purchase via a link provided by the host, please RSVP only if you are going to purchase the ticket within a few days. RSVP will be removed at the discretion of the host if days have passed with no ticket purchase from the attendee or special discounted tickets are SOLD out and attendee did not purchase a ticket.

Ticket Purchase just by RSVPing on the event page
Some events will require payment in order for you to RSVP. Events without a link specified on the page event description and a cost amount stated on the page are such events. Please observe the refund policy as stated in the RSVP.

Additional social activities planned before/after the event
For events that require ticket to be pay in order to RSVP, the additional socials before/after the event are for those who RSVP via DC Culture Connoisseurs. Those who wish to join us for the social but bought their own ticket will be allowed in by the discretion of the host. Space priority will of course reside with those who purchased their tickets thru our group.

Dinner RSVP as part of the event
Some events include dinner get together before or after the actual event. Please let your host know that you will be attending so that big enough table is reserved in advance. Showing up or bring additional guest without RSVPing or letting the host know is being rude to the host and very inconvenient for the restaurant. Your consistent behaving like this during events will result in you being barred from attending any events.

For events you like to go on your own/with friends/family, please feel free to do so and there is no need for you to RSVP.
