Google TV was one of the prominent Android trends at the recently concluded Consumer Electronic Show. LG, Samsung and Lenovo displayed their latest Google TV’s that had voice recognition, gesture recognition and Android applications. Looks like Google TV is starting to take off and this is your chance to learn more about this topic from an Android expert.
Android expert Mark Murphy will be talking about Google TV at our next Meetup. Mark has written several books on Android and does training and consulting around the world.
This presentation will explore what rules you should follow to make your Android application work on Google TV (in addition to smartphones and tablets), plus whatTV-specific capabilities your application can ruthlessly exploit to your (and your users) advantage.
Come learn about Google TV, network and have fun with other Android enthusiast.

Fathom Creative, Inc is sponsoring the location for this Meetup. Here is information about parking around Fathom. Parking meters and time limits stop at 6:30, there are a few spots that stop at 5. There are two parking garages right on Thomas Circle, one in the Donavan Hotel and the other is right next to the CVS, both entrances are on 14th Street. Both garages are about two and a half blocks from the office – about a 5-minute walk. There is also a Whole Foods on P Street, a little closer (perhaps a good place to park if you need to some shopping prior or after the Meetup). Fathom Creative is right on 14th Street and is a grey and white building with large glass windows in the front. Press the buzzer next to the door on right hand side, as that goes upstairs to the gallery where the Meetup is held.
Please feel free to make any donations at the event for the Pizza and drinks.
Paul,
We will try to record it and put it on YouTube.
