ABOUT THE COMPANY:
LearnZillion is a social enterprise founded by two former teachers.
We provide a learning platform that helps teachers and parents meet
the educational needs of every student. LearnZillion’s platform
combines video lessons, assessments, playlists, and progress
reports. The lessons are short (3-5 minutes long), produced by
talented teachers, and highlight the Common Core standards. Each
lesson focuses on a specific substandard. Together, playlists of
lessons prepare students to apply standards to more challenging
LearnZillion raised seed funding through the Gates Foundation,
NewSchools Venture Fund, and the Achievement Network. LearnZillion
is now being piloted in over twenty DC schools and 150 other schools
throughout the country.
