Caravan Palace is a French band based in Paris.

This French six piece band has carved out a nice niche
(albeit a small one)

in the vast world of music where most bands seem to be clones
of one another.
The unique blend of contrasting genres, catchy instrumentation
and sexy vocals makes, if nothing else a memorable concert worth giving a shot at.

The sound of their music:

A mix between old, like swing and jazz, and also Gypsy jazz, mixed with new sounds or house music or electronic. It’s quite experimental. … They mix electronic performance with machine and computers and real instruments.”

The surprise breakout band of the last decade, the apostles of Electro Swing and precursors of a laidback yet terribly upbeat trend, is coming up with an evocative second album: Panic!

Their strength lies in their common passion for electronic music. Charles, Arnaud and Hughes, the initial trio, dig swing, especially gypsy jazz, and have tried their hands at the genre’s traditional instruments: guitar, double bass and violin.

That’s where this peculiar mixture of classical Django and trendy electro sound comes from.

They love Massive Attack, dig the creative minds of Ninja Tune, vibe to Isolée’s minimal electro sound, and nod to Gorillaz’s grand hip-hop rock bazaar.

Jump in the Caravan.
Seeing the world upside down guarantees the best sound.

I won't be there but have fun!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
