Monday Night GLBT Board Gamers Meetup at Soho Tea & Coffee

We'll meet to get together for a nice evening of board games! I will be bringing a few games, but if you have a game that you want to share, then please bring it along! Instead of spending a Monday evening at home, come out and meet some others who also enjoy playing some games! I'm expecting a nice group of people. We always have a good time and it's a relaxing way to end your Mondays! The location for this meetup is at Soho Coffee and Tea in Dupont Circle. Please patronize the coffee shop who is hosting us. It's important for us to support them if we want to be invited back! To help defray the cost of meetup dues, I ask for $1/month from members.  Hope to see you there! -Eytan

Everyone, thanks for being welcoming and patient with a newbie.

I am sorry. I have to head home. Due to the rain, I am currently wearing my lunch. I don't think anyone will appreciate sitting next to someone smelling like BBQ.

I may be running a little late for the 10/7 mtg, but I will be there. Please, carry on as though nothing horrendously tragic has actually happened. Or at least, do your best. R

Calendar challenged. I came to Soho Coffee on Sept 30. Assume this was one week early?

      Yeah we could rule Soho.

You'd be pushing against an open door. I can vouch for the fact that Monday nites are mighty quiet with no LGBT gamers present.

Does the group prefer gaming only when someone knows the game well and can teach it, or is it OK to bring something to try out?

I think either is fine. If the person explains the game too well, they kinds play for you.

    What games are you bringing?

Has anyone played GLOOM? It's a four-player card game based on the peculiarly dark humor of Edward Gorey. Accoring to the instructions it takes no more than an hour to play. I'll bring it along and hope I can sell it.
