As you can see above, I "clean up" pretty good, but I rarely dress so nicely. The usual: Combat boots, urban (black/gray/white) camo pants, black t-shirt sporting an image or a band you've never heard of, necklace with chaos symbol pendant (very important), black eyeliner (Lancôme, the good stuff). Sometimes, if I have time/energy, I'll use face paints and put an Eye of Horus over my left eye (colors will vary) and/or a black dot pattern on the right side of my face. High-functioning, very stable bipolar. I run (jointly, with another person) http://www.bipolarsupportgroup.net which, as far as we can tell, is the most popular, thriving bipolar community on the net. I do a lot of work for the website community, and I'm proud of the work I put in to help it get off the ground and become the haven it is today, where bipolars can go and be themselves, whatever that happens to be at the moment. Love to cook, have had some professional training. I'm also TNS, in case anyone wants to know.
I'll go with Kirk, but Picard can stay behind
No, I have no idea wtf you're talking about. Probably because I tend to eschew mainstream pop culture and entirely (except for two shows) fail to watch TV. Or maybe because I failed physics class (not by lack of aptitude; lack of attendance).
What I DO want? Friday & Saturday stuff. Close to DC is fine, but no parking stress (I like parking garages, parking lots, but definitely nothing where I have to spend 3 hours finding a spot and/or parallel park). Just because I have the ability to enter into deep discussions doesn't mean I want to. Frankly, I'm all about having fun. I like to go out and dance and have a few drinks or go see one of the independent bands I love when they roll into town, that sort of thing. What I DON'T want? I don't want to be around negative people who criticize others at every turn. I don't want to sit and listen to a boring lecture. I don't want to hear anybody's fucking poetry. I don't want to be in cliquish company; I am a very accepting person (crazy as I am, I have to be, lol) and I don't like it when people (especially me) are made to feel excluded. I'm a nice person and I prefer the company of other nice people.
Jamie (male). #1 hobby independent music. Sheer eccentricity makes me an easy find in a crowd. Old school goth; think black/white/red, possible eyeliner, and I love my urban (black/gray/white) camo pants. Also a high functioning, very stable bipolar.
Well, I liked the ones I met at this event.
