Hi Everyone,
Matthew sent an email noting that the chapters and pages for the Marx Engels Reader edited by Robert C Tucker readings were not the same as his. The Tucker version only has excerpts from the first 4 chapters and that is the reading for this week. See below for a comparison with other versions:

Part I. Commodities and Money
Chapter I. Commodities
1. The two factors of a Commodity...
2. The two-fold Character of the Labor...
3. The Form of Value...
A. Elementary or Accidental...
1. The Two Poles...
2. The Relative form of Value
(a) The Nature and Import...
(b) Qantitative Determination...

Skip the following :

3. The Equivalent Form...
4. The Elementary Form...
B. Total or Expanded Form...
(...)
C. The General Form...
(...)
D. The Money Form..

then go to:

4. The Fetishism of Commodities...

Skip Chapters 2 and 3 and go to:

Part II The Transformation of Money into Capital

Chapter IV The General Formula for Capital

We are stopping at the end of 4 this week.

Thanks Matthew.
