Hebrew/Arabic movie night - "The Attack"

Greetings to all!

Join us to watch a Hebrew/Arabic movie "The Attack" on June 12 at 6:45pm at Landmark E St Cinema for FREE!

We will have free tickets for DC Language Lover members, first come first serve.  If you RSVP yes, please make sure you will attend as we have a limited number of tickets and you will take the spot for someone else who may like to watch the movie.

"The Attack" (2012) - Amin Jaafari is an Israeli Palestinian surgeon, fully assimilated into Tel Aviv society. He has a loving wife, an exemplary career, and many Jewish friends. But his picture-perfect life is turned upside down when a suicide bombing in a restaurant leaves nineteen dead, and the Israeli police inform him that his wife Sihem, who also died in the explosion, was responsible. Convinced of her innocence, Amin abandons the relative security of his adopted homeland and enters the Palestinian territories in pursuit of the truth.

Once there, he finds himself in ever more dangerous places and situations. Determined, he presses on seeking answers to questions he never thought he would be asking.

The Attack is adapted from Yasmina Khadra’s international bestseller of the same name. Originally published in 2005, the novel has been translated into more than 40 languages and has won numerous awards worldwide.

Hi all, see you all tonight in the E St Cinema lobby at 6:45pm - look for me or Nick McGuire. You must arrive by 6:45pm to receive a free ticket so we can be seated together before the movie starts at 7pm. Anyone who arrives later risks not getting a ticket. If you cannot find us, ask for Beth and mention our meetup group. See you tonight!
