Alexandria. But getting around the area is no biggie.
Trying new restaurants, the bar scene, the nightclub scene (though not as much as the previous two). I prefer more laid back events where I can get to know people and make friends.
I just moved back to D.C. While I'm not exactly 'new' to the area (because I spent a few years here from '01-'03), I'm sort of starting over. Most of my old friends have gotten married, etc. I'm looking to meet new people and have fun!
If you're new to town and want to meet people, this is definitely a good group to join. It's laid back, and doesn't come with the pressure of a group geared for say, 'singles'. In other words, you can go, meet people, and just have a good time w/o feeling like you have to make a goal of showing off your plumage in order to attract a mate. It's just chill, the type of atmosphere I think we all long for sometimes.
