There's no better time or place to kick-off our new DC Enterprise Search Network than at the 2012 Enterprise Search Summit!

The first official Meetup will be held on opening day of the Enterprise Search Summit in Washington, DC on October 17th.  We encourage you to come to the show, visit the exhibit hall (free registration), enjoy the complimentary reception and then join your fellow Meetup members for enlightening discussion and networking.

The meeting will begin with introductions and open dialog where members can share their search experiences, challenges and solutions.  During the second half, we will introduce a few search customers to share their enterprise search implementation stories. We’ll conclude the meeting with Q&A and ideas for future Meetup topics. A complete agenda will be posted prior to the meeting.

**You must be registered for the ESS to enter our Meetup. Exhibit Hall Only registration is free AND includes a reception (food and open bar) from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Please use the following link and Promo Code below when registering.

    On the specific issue of problems and approaches in aggregating search results from multiple, heterogeneous sources, I would also suggest taking a look at the work of Jaime Arguello.
    Publications as listed on his home page at

    Jaime's dissertation on Federated Search in Heterogeneous Environments (CMU, 2011) is available at ;
