The Battle: jQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch and Appcelerator Titanium

Get an in-depth review of the three most popular javascript-based mobile application development platforms - jQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch, and Appcelerator Titanium! You'll review the development tools, hear about the developer and debugging experience, and participate in a brief code review in order to determine which framework is the most
appropriate for your next mobile project! We'll demonstrate how each framework can be used to develop the same mobile app, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each.

Just wondering. I am about to start a contract where they are using Phonegap to develop mobile apps. I'm wondering if that is going to be addressed at all in the context of these comparisons? I'm not sure if we will have the flexibility to change the tools we'll be using since it's a gov't contract and may have already outlined all tools and technologies, but was hoping to get an understanding of how all these compare even so, and I believe that Phonegap is still a pretty popular platform, no?

    • Startup C.

Thanks Levi. If PhoneGap fully is not covered in this go around, we are sure to cover it real soon. This meetup is specific to JavaScript development tools and frameworks where PhoneGap may or may not play a role, although some do cover HTML5 as well.

Will try and make it to keep everyone updated on Appcelerator's current framework capabilities if questions come up. If you are not working with the framework daily it is really hard to truly appreciate and understand its value proposition.

The certification requirements and the framework has changes tremendously in the last two years, exciting stuff, come prepared with questions!
