DC PHP Beverage Subgroup (in DC)

Hello there, welcome to the monthly DC PHP beverage subgroup.

We meet last Tuesday of the month at the Meridian Pint which is located at [masked]th St NW, Washington, DC. If you're coming via metro, Columbia Heights is the nearest stop, from there it's a 5-10 minute walk, coming out of the metro go east on Irving St. and then hang a left onto 11th St., the Pint is located directly on the corner of 11th and Park. If you're driving you should be able to find plenty of parking on that block.

Once you get there ask the server about the PHP meetup, or keep your eyes open for the blue fuzzy elePHPant mascot.

Eric.

Hello all, I hate to be one of those people nagging everyone during the meetup so thought it might be slightly more couth to post here.

My company, American Institutes for Research, is looking for a seasoned PHP developer (foremost) and a junior to mid-level Drupal developer (nice to have). There are great benefits and a relaxed staff but, as with any dev shop, there are deadlines. I have a job description that I can provide to anyone interested. Please feel free to contact me at mmahon_at_air.org.

I've been around the community for a bit now and am a familiar face to some. I'm a developer myself and don't mind speaking to anyone about the environment you may be working in and so forth. Cheers.

      Mark,

Have you considered posting it to the mailing list? They're usually pretty cool about it (especially since you're one of us and not a recruiter) as long as you stick to the guidelines: start the subject line with [job] and specify the job title and location as well.

Eric pinged me and asked that I pick up hosting duties a little bit ago, as he's under the weather tonight. I'm on my way home from work and should be there in abt 20 mins. I'll look for something suitable identifiable since I don't have an elephant
