What we learned from the QS Conference... and QS'ing for better health.

Please join us on October 16th for another exciting evening of personal self-tracking stories, tools demonstrations, and amazing conversation.

We're happy to be hosted by our friends at the the Carney Center, where alcohol, food and beverage will be provided. Come to meet new people, check out new hands-on gadgets and tools, and learn from personal stories.

If you have a self-tracking project, gadget, app, or idea you'd like to share or demo, but you don't want to get up and talk about it, then the opening half hour is a perfect opportunity for you.

If you are making something useful for self-trackers – software, hardware, web services, or data standards – please contact the organizers to demo it during this time.  We can provide you with a space for your demonstration.

Daniel Gartenberg and John Carney will discuss the global QS conference that took place the previous week.

At the conference we learned about:

A) The newest cutting edge gadgets, such as beddit, various Withings products, cutting edge standing tables, and much much more.

B) The best quantified self talks from around the world - including identifying how to treat various ailments and motivate positive behavior change.

C) The business goings on of the Quantified Self community.

We are also pleased to announce that Eric will be given what will surely be a great take about his many years tracking his diet, along with his energy level and various other factors.

9 - 10 pm SOCIAL TIME

Talk to the speakers, chat with new and old friends, ask other people what they're tracking, and generally hang out and have a great time.

Thank you and see you there!

John Carney, Daniel, and many others put on another lavish event. I enjoyed hearing about the international QS meeting in SF and seeing the many new devices. Conversations continued long afterwards and kept going even later outside.

Would a .ppt file work? I'm still deciding on the title. The content is a look at my QS'ing for better health. I'll send the slides closer to the meeting as I finalize the last tweaks.
