QS Talks and Breakout Session

Happy New Year QSers!  I think this is going to be a good year for QS.

A few announcements:

1) While we have a date and location for our next meetup, we are in need of a projector and speakers.  Let me know if you have access to a projector or if you would like to chat about any of your projects.

2) One thing that we are going to discuss at the next meetup group is the possibility of creating a QS journal and what that might look at.  Ewart and I will be spear-heading this discussion, which will follow the breakout session format that is typical of QS conferences.

3) Members of our group have been contributing by creating new and innovative QS related products that I would like to bring to your attention.  For instance, Yale Landsberg recently created an Android application that functions as a clock which takes into account the natural time of day.  For a testimonial see:  http://truetyme.org/testimonials

I've been making some progress on my app Proactive Sleep by accessing the iPhone's accelerometer and tracking sleep based on body movements.  I need some beta testers to refine my algorithm.  If you are interested in being a beta tester just shoot me an email.

Two thumbs up for the QS Journal! I'd love to help on brainstorming the design.

Hi, I'd like to speak about my projects, minute, windchime, and heard, if that's possible (unfortunately I don't have access to a projector)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
