Planning Meeting for DC STEM Expo demonstrations by DC Robotics Group

DC Robotics Group is looking for a few volunteers for either assisting or providing interactive demonstrations for representing the DC Robotics Group at the DC STEM EXPO with project tables or demonstrations from 9:30am to 2pm.  It will be held Saturday, March 22nd, 22014 at H.D. Woodson HS cafeteria, 5500 Eads St Ne, Washington, DC.

Please RSVP to the March 22nd Meetup that is for the date of the EXPO if you are a volunteer for our DC Robotics Group.

This meeting is to recruit a small number of volunteers, brainstorm and plan the  hands-on interactive demonstrations and display for tables hosted by the DC Robotics Group.  We are also looking for a couple volunteers who want to build an Arduino or Raspberry Pi project and demonstrate your project at a table.  The project must be interactive family, and kid friendly and teach STEM concepts.

Do you know of how we can get arduino's and parts donated to do a limited student size introduction to arduino class at the Stem Fair.

The DC STEM Fair is a long-standing tradition for DC’s public, public charter, parochial, private, and home‐schooled students to showcase their research skills and compete for a variety of awards and prizes.

The STEM Expo is an exciting way to highlight STEM-based community organizations to fair participants, parents, and community members. Organizations including industry partners, non-profits, local DC museums, higher education institutions, federal agencies and military partners are invited to participate in the  STEM Expo, held on March 22nd during The DC STEM Fair.   More details can be found here-

Potential participants can request space for a booth to provide materials and/or demonstrate STEM-based resources.  Additionally, there is limited space for larger hands-on interactive demonstrations and displays.
