Guest what day March 29th is!?"World Arduino" day 2014. This event at PunchrockDC puts Washington DC on the Arduino world map! Arduino Day is a worldwide celebration of Arduino’s first 10 years. It's 24 hours full of events – both official and independent, anywhere around the world – where people interested in Arduino can meet, share their experiences, and learn more.

The DC Robotics Group will participate in Arduino Day by having a Arduino project Workshop centered around a starter kit. This will be a 3 hour meetup show that we can walk through each project together starting with the basic LED project and continue working the intermediate projects. The basic projects in the recommended kit include leds, Pushbuttons, Potentiometer, Temperature Sensing, photosensing, Servos, lcd, and distance sensing and motors. Whether or not you have attended any of the previous Introduction to Arduino meetups, this is also the meetup for you to continue building your projects.
We are offering a Arduino Starter kit that you can begin working on the projects at the meetup, see the link below to order. If enough students have the recommended starter kit we can build a Distance Measuring Sensor. If you have your own kit you can bring it.
This meetup will center around a build session with a recommended starter kit. If you need a kit you can click on the link in red and order one below. Please place your order for the kit by March 26th and I will be able to bring a kit to the meetup for you. Some of the projects that you can build with the kit I provide is a temperature meter with display and a distance sensor with display. You will learn how these can be combined and added onto for more experimentation.
I can only order this Arduino Starter Kit in time for the class if you order by March 24th
