Come one, come all! We won't MONOPOLYze your evening... come at 6:30 pm, leave a few hours later having conquered a country, kingdom, or drawing phobia.
What kind of board games? Most take 1-2 hours to play, never as long as a DC snowstorm commute: A mixture of strategy and social games, possibly some bargaining with a taste of luck. Warm up with a word game.
The Suspects: Bananagrams, Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Saboteur, Cranium, Scattegories, Say Anything, 10 Days in Asia, Cribbage, Taboo, Uno, Apples to Apples, Dominion, Hive, Lost Cities, Global Pursuit, Puerto Rico, Werewolves of Millers Hollow...don't see your favorite? Bring it along!
For those that want food, contribute $5 for pizza. And you're welcome to bring your own food & drink.
We'll host it at Ed's house where we have had several previous game nights. It's a five minute walk from the Clarendon Metro stop on the Orange line in Arlington. You can also drive but don't park on the street fronting the house. Instead, park on the nearest cross street.
The address will be sent to those that sign up closer to the event. Note, there is a friendly dog who is eager to meet all guests.
