The use of public transportation, including taxis, in Washington is recommended as free parking is limited and posted times are enforced. Metrorail, Washington's subway system, and Metrobus link the city with nearby communities in Maryland and Virginia. The Federal Triangle and Smithsonian stations, on Metrorail's Blue and Orange lines, are located near the Mall. Every subway station is equipped with an elevator and most with escalators.

Hi Nick and Chazz,
I'll be hiking at Harper's Ferry, WVA on Saturday morning - not sure when the hike will be over and when I'll get into DC. In the event I arrive at the museum in between your 3-4pm checks (or after), would it be possible to contact either of you by cell (text if necessary). This will avoid searching for you fruitlessly. Thanks, JB.
