Dear innovators,

It ain't a contest, but DC Tech Meetup's May gathering will put us solidly in the #1 spot as the largest tech meetup in the country. Over 500 are set to attend and it will be standing room only at 1000+.

RSVP now for May 1st's DC Tech Meetup: "Hacks, Code and Creative"

=======Other Announcements========

  1. Today the Washington Post reports that Mayor Gray has proposed tax changes for tech firms and investors - http://wapo.st/HaAkGG. This change was born out of a lunch session where I (DC Tech Meetup founder Peter Corbett) convened area tech CEOs and investors over lunch to help the Mayor understand what challenges and opportunities they were facing. We talked A LOT about taxes.
  2. If you need your mobile fix, head out to the MoDevUX conference on April 20th.
  3. If you've got a helicopter, fly on out to lovely Leesburg to meet the jQuery Foundation team while bowling with beers on April 13th (RSVP).

Send us any other announcements and we'll either get them out via this email later in the month, or on stage during community announcements on May 1.
