Backpacking since 2005, lightweight backpacker since 2010. I've put in just over 500 trail miles since joining this group, and am looking to up the distance with a few longer outings this spring and summer. My coldest night was low teens or high single digits, but the worst night was being on Three Ridges in 20 degree weather with my 40 degree bag.

I'm currently using a Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo tent, and have a GoLite 40 degree quilt and an REI Halo 25 degree bag for sleeping. I have a ULA Catalyst, and a Go Lite Jam, although the Jam is starting to show its age after two years' heavy use!
I joined because I wanted to find other backpackers in the area to hike with. But it wasn't until doing a few trips with this group that I realized how much more I enjoyed lightweight and long-distance hiking than the style of backpacking I did in college!

This group will challenge your conception of what backpacking is, and push you in ways you're not always prepared for. Great for people looking to go beyond the casual weekend outing!
