Bear bag or vault?

Asking you guys more experienced with overnighters in virginia mountains. Are suspended bear bags sufficient or do I need to lug a 2 lb bear vault?

Suspended bear bags are sufficient here. I wouldn't bother with a bear can--I've never seen one used out here on the trail. The highest concentration of bears is out in Shenandoah, so certainly use best practices out there. Personally I haven't had any problems with them. Ran into four different bears in one morning along a stretch of trail in Shenandoah--that was the most I've ever seen!

Thanks ryan. I'll stick with the bear bags in SNP then.
