On this day excursion to Baltimore, we will eat lunch and explore the culinary scene at the Lexington Market. We will also visit the Walters Art Museum and the original Washington Monument in the Mount Vernon neighborhood. Before boarding the bus to return to DC, we will eat dinner in Federal Hill, one of Baltimore’s oldest and most historic neighborhoods.
The Lexington Market is one of the largest and oldest markets in the world. The market contains numerous shops and delicacies such as seafood, American cuisine, soul food, Mexican, Asian cuisines, and baked goods. -We will meet at the Washington Greyhound Station at 8:30AM. The new Greyhound bus station is located at Union Station (50 Massachusetts Avenue Washington, DC).
-We will use the Greyhound Bus Service to travel to Baltimore; there are no direct routes to Downtown Baltimore from Washington, DC on the MegaBus or BoltBus services.
1) When entering Greyhound website, select the Tickets and Travel Info page and select Purchase Tickets.
2) Inside the Tickets box, select the Round Trip option. Under the Leaving From section, select Washington,DC; set the date and time for January 19, 2013 at Any Time. Under the Going To section, select Baltimore Downtown, MD; set the date and time for January 19, 2013 at Any Time. Select Search Schedules to continue.
3) For Select a Departure, choose 9:05AM -10:15AM. For Select a Return, choose 8:20PM – 9:15PM. Choose the fare that you wish to pay (round trip tickets range from $16 to $19.80). Select Continue to purchase your tickets.
-The Union Station parking garage is located close to the Greyhound Bus Station. The maximum cost is $22.00 for one day.
