Is this for adults only? My daughter is 11 and loves the rock climbing walls, but this is the real thing.

Dont know this meetup group's protocol on kids (the Organizer would call the shots), but I took my 14-year old daughter there, who is not a jockette, last year, and she had a blast and still does it. They teach you well, rope you up safely, and in an hour you can be doing it independently with a buddy, attempting various levels of difficulty according to taste. At that age they are sort of fearless and light, so it worked better for her than for me. There's another location in MD called EarthTreks, in the Marlo Furniture building on Rockvile Pike, which is a similar model but a larger facility. Go for it!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
