I'm studying Modern Standard Arabic (MSA FuSHa) and can read/write/speak at a 'patchy' intermediate level. I speak Moroccan Arabic (Darija Maghrabi) much better, having lived in Morocco while working as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
I lived in Morocco while working as an Environmental Educator with the United States Peace Corps.I also taught English at the ALC in Marrakesh.I've ridden my bicycle across Europe & across America twice.I know very basic French,& it sounds Horrible!
I've been the Director of the NYC Arabic Language &Culture Club for 2 years.I contacted Christian, the previous Organizer, with the idea of co-hosting some events.Although I live in NYC,many of our club members are based in DC.I'm up for ANYthing!
Ruby! Well, actually I Love a good Tagine al'hout m'3 Harirra, but Keskasoo m'3 djaj is pretty good too!
I bicycled across the United States twice, carrying all my gear, as well as through Europe. I'm an avid backpacker and enjoy rock-climbing, caving, and skydiving!
aSalam 3'liykum!I'm the Director of the NYC Arabic Language & Culture Meetup Club. I wanted to say hello because you are the second biggest Arab club in Meetup next to ours!I thought we could collaborate an event sometime, insha'Allah
I recently took over the leadership of this club from Christian Bissan. I haven't yet had the chance to meet most of you, but look forward to doing so soon, incha'Allah. We have a wonderful thing going here, something important, which we need to keep going. Please, if you have comments, suggestions, or ideas on the club, contact me or any of the Assistant Organizers.
