hey guys.. that was my first meet up ever :) a nightmare of traffic of course.. 3 hrs till I was in :) but finally got in.. and reached CR by phone, who was kind and tried to meet but unfortunately missed you all - funny part was - I was probably within feet from all of you for an hour or so before you all went to the sailboat trip - was so hoping to see you but hope to catch you again in either Mt. Vernon trip and/or the Mountain Foliage trip >>
glad you all enjoyed it.. I did despite it all.. Thanks for the chance and hoping for meeting again for sure.. Thanks CR..

enjoyed the seafood festival, wish I could have stayed there longer. dinner and drinks at pussers in annap was fantastic and REALLY like that we got a waterfront table (ok I admit I was being friendly and smiling to the cashier to get that LOL). Sailboat cruise was AWESOME as usual! great company, thanks everyone for coming! next year we'll leave earlier to beat the crowds even more

when I got there at last it was ok... but the 3 hr exhausting trip to get in was awful. The people in charge of that place did not respect the fact that I had a handicap sticker and the lines and walking and no parking was a headache! also I would have loved to meet the other members - I missed them due to all this delay.

A note for Amie and her guest, and Dorothy L. - I was so looking forward to my first outing with Daytrippers tomorrow, and meeting you and many others, but I injured my foot and it is too painful to walk for any distance so I can't make it tomorrow - will be having the foot xrayed today sometime. I left a phone message for Amie because I was supposed to ride with her.
I hope to finally meet many of you very soon! Have a great time tomorrow - it's supposed to be a beautiful day - a fun festival - and Sandy Point is so scenic and refreshing by the bay.

I am interested in attending the seafood festival and sunset cruise while bringing my 16-year old daugther for both. Please let me know if anyone can provide transportation for 2 1) from the seafood festival to the sunset cruise and/or 2) return trip to DC. Thanks in advance.

Is anyone going to the festival only (not sailboat cruise), from Virginia - Annandale/Springfield/Alexandria area? I would like to get a ride if possible and pay for gas. I can drive if needed, but would have to be back by dark as my night vision isn't too good, especially in unfamiliar territory.
I have a Groupon for 2 tickets.
Is there any way to avoid Rt. 50 on Saturday. I'm just wondering how much beach traffic there will be backed up before the bay bridge.
