The DC Area Dog Rescue Meetup Group is holding it's first event to help a shelter "Pets with Disabilities" in MD who are in desperate need of supplies.

To make this event as fun as possible we are hosting a Happy Hour where all who attend can donate something, here is the list of what they need:

The dogs are fed: Chicked soup for adults -- dry and canned
Good puppy food (any brand -- maybe Natural Balance)
Mother Hubbard Biscuits (they come in different flavors and sizes)
Paper Towels
Odoban
Bounce
Detergent (any type)
Dish soap as we wash all the bowls out by hand each day
Bleach
Clorex Clean up wipes
Printer paper
Envelopes (legal size)
Packing envelopes
Washable dog beds -- the kind where you can zip out the top cover. As the wheelchair dogs are incontinent, the washing machines are going 24/7. The beds need to be flat but fluffy -- nothing with curved raised back pieces. The dogs with no use of their back legs actually have to drag themselves onto the beds.
Towels that we can lay over top of the beds for more protection

Large plastic trash bags -- "dog" proof food bins and "dog" proof trash cans.

Interactive toys for outside play (tough chew, jolly balls, balls on ropes - no stuffed toys please as they just don't last)

Remembering also that these animals are also in need of loving adoptive parents, some representatives from the shelter will be bringing Barny, a cute little guy who is blind and needs a loving home. You can meet him at the event.
