Watch the Malaysian GP

  • March 30, 2014 · 12:30 PM

With less downforce and mammoth amounts of low-end torque, the Malaysian GP will be amazing ... because even though 'it never rains in Southern California' it *ALWAYS* rains in Malaysia. This race and the Chinese GP will be tilted slightly in favour of drivers with the best car control skill. Join us at Carpool, as we eat drink, and hang out with other F1 fans.

Was really hoping to make but this cold I picked up last week is showing no signs of letting go. Have fun everyone!

jamesallenonf1.com does an in depth analysis on true pace after each race taking into account fuel loads and tire choice and they reckon Merc had a second and a half plus on the field in Oz. But that can be neutralized in the rain as we saw in qualifying at Sepang. I'm guessing the rest of the field (excluding Williams who seem to be woeful in the wet) are praying for rain to keep it close tomorrow.
