We all have to start somewhere. MasterCard formed out of a small banking co-op, Dell began in Michael Dell's dorm room, and
Microsoft first booted up in Bill Gates' garage. Look at even your own Meetup Group - it started at one member and look where it is now!
These successful companies understand what it's like to build something you're passionate about from the ground up, and
want to celebrate and support aspiring entrepreneurs. That's why they've partnered to launch a joint search for "America's Favorite Small Business" and want to hear your
small business story!
By sharing your story, your business could be selected to win:
$50,000 MasterCard prepaid card to be applied toward business expenses and supplies
$25,000 in Dell and Microsoft technology solutions
A starring role in a web-based Makeover Reality Show
So, how do you start your business on the path to fame and fortune?
If you're a business that has 25 or fewer employees, create a short video explaining why you should be America's Favorite Small Business,
and upload the video via YouTubeHERE.
Start filming soon! All entries must be in by Sunday, September 11, 2011.
A panel of Dell, MasterCard and Microsoft judges will select the best ten submissions between Sept. 12-18 to be open for a
public vote, with a winner announced on October 27, 2011.
A few videos have already been posted to the site - go ahead and check them out to get some inspiration.
We would love to see you and your fellow Meetup Group members participating and even get selected! Time is of the essence - so put on your creative hat, get filming and good luck!
